Camping

We went camping as a family this past weekend. I guess I should say Jimmy and the older kids actually "camped"....Luke and I went up for the day and evening, went home to sleep, and drove back up the mountain in the morning. (Your allowed to do that when your 9 months pregnant). I am sad because I am realizing that I am not in ANY pictures :( I really was there...I promise. Anyhow, we had tons of fun, daddy played ultimate Frisbee with some friends, Seth caught a frog, I chased Luke all over the campsite and Sarah played a beanbag toss game with her friends. We had a yummy dinner of grilled hamburgers and delicious salads brought by mommy and friends. This was Sarah s first time camping and she said she loved it....So I guess mommy is committed to going camping again sometime :)

One of my favorite quotes

" I don't want to drive up to The pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothing, with my hair perfectly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from driving boys to scout camp. I want to be there with mud on my shoes from mowing Sister Snecks lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my nails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheek and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know that I was really here and that I really lived"

Lovely day :)

It is a lovely day here in Utah. It is the fifth straight day of rain and the kids and I are really enjoying it. Maybe it is the little girl in me that always dreamed of rain like this...yet somehow the southern Ca sky never let loose. I just served the kiddos some hot cocoa....I have vowed to not eat sweets for a week, but I may or may not have tasted the hot cocoa ;)
I have good reason for not blogging in so long....my desktop is broken. It won't stay on most of the time, and when it does, it won't let me upload any pictures :( This makes me very sad..I have some adorable pictures that I am dying to show off. My kiddos just get cuter as the days go by. I have been begging the Hubs for a new laptop..but he is not giving into my pleas.....yet ;)
Things are good with my pregnancy, no problems at all. My sweet baby girl is a mover. She kicks me ALL the time. I really enjoy it. I feel like this will be our last baby, so I am trying to enjoy all the little things I love about being pregnant. I am due August 23rd, but they are going to induce me a week early on the 16th, so I am actually excited to be able to plan a bit better this time.
Seth is no longer a kindergardener! He graduated today. I can't believe how fast time went by this year! He is reading really good...his Grandma and Grandpa sent him 12 magic tree house books for his birthday, so we are doing a lot of reading right now.
Sarah is doing great. She is looking forward to preschool this coming year..I have signed her up for head start...but we won't know until July if they have spot for her. If not, I will try and find another preschool for her. She still loves to cook and bake, she is actually becoming quite the little chef!
Luke is still a happy boy that keeps us on our toes. He has learned how to make silly faces and it is the funniest thing ever!
We are still waiting to hear back from the BYU Accounting program..we will find out in July if Jimmy gets in. We are crossing our fingers, but never fear..anyone that knows my husband knows that he has a plan A,B, and C all lined up just in case he doesn't get in :)

A Day In The Life of Luke

I am just like my big brother and sister and I LOVE to do art!

I am very independent and I LOVE to feed myself

I decided to wait until Daddy walked away from the computer so I could take my turn

When i'm tired I love to find my binky and my blanket and go lay down on mommy's bed.

Mom always decides to change my daiper at the most inconvenient times. Sometimes I just hurry up and run away from her to look out the window.

I love to push things around so that I can use them to climb up and get things off of high shelves.

I ask mom questions all day long....only she usually doesn't know what I am asking..

Here I am trying to get mom to follow me....I do that often so that I she knows what I want..

I love my big sissy....I am always walking around the house calling her name.

Here I asked Seth for a banana and he snuck me one....this is how mom found me..

By naptime I am EXHAUSTED!!! I lead a busy life getting into things :)

Letter from Santa

Dear Seth & Sarah

Thank you for being so good this year! Your mom and dad told me that you two are always helping out with Luke. He is a good baby…so I decided to bring him a bike. Please help him learn how to ride it.

Seth, I heard that you like music boxes…so my elves made you a special one of Noah’s Ark. I hope you enjoy listening to the music. Also, I don’t know if you still like Star Wars, but I brought you a few things.

Sarah, Mrs. Claus made you a special doll. Her name is Lucy. She needed a good mommy so I brought her to you because you are such a great mom to all your dolls. I hope you love her.

I heard that both of you love to help your mom cook. That is good. Children should always help their mom and dad. My elves made you some aprons to wear while you help your mom. Keep being good! I am proud of you and I hope you like your toys!

Love, Santa Claus

Naughty Boy

Luke, what are those all over the floor?

Luke, what is that in your mouth?

Yep, the little stinker pulled a whole plate of brownies off of the table
and proceeded to eat them as fast as he could without getting caught!

In the mood for a bagel I guess...

Or two....

So Luke is as tall as the table now. Yes, that means he can get things off of it easily....which he does quite often. The second mom walks away he checks out the goods on the table to see if there is anything he might like to try.......
