Wedding Bells?

Seth and Sarah had been in their room playing for awhile so I decided to check on them...They informed me that they had just gotten "married". They had even put on fancy clothes all by themselves (notice the tie and church shoes on Seth?). After explaining that you can't actually marry your own sister or brother, Seth says "MOM!, of course we already know that...you told us that a HUNDRED times!" Guess i'll just be quiet and let them play :)

Lifes Changes....

Sometimes things happen in life that you have to just laugh at. 2009 ended great for our family....It was a seemingly perfect year... We took vacations, Jimmy finished his first two years of school, the kids were healthy and wonderful, our marriage was great, Luke was born, etc..etc...

Then 2010 happened...ugh!

First we had planned to move into student housing at BYU in Feb, Jimmy put a deposit down and we reserved a three bedroom. Then I became sick with gallbladder problems and couldn't even get out of bed for a week (I am scheduled to have it out at the end of Feb). Then Jimmy was informed that he wouldn't be able to get the academic scholarship to BYU that he had worked so hard for, then our van was broken into, then Jimmy lost his job (we manage apts so with losing his job we also lost our home),then we found out that we couldn't move into our apt at BYU until April (timing is wonderful, huh?).

BUT....the Lord is amazing and everything is working out just fine. Our kids are still healthy and wonderful, our marriage is still great, and we are loving life with our little Luke. Jimmy got another job right away, some friends loaned us the use of their house, we have just enough in savings to cover the cost of tuition at BYU, and because of the gallbladder problems I have changed my diet and feel better than I have in years!

I won't lie, I spent some days crying and feeling sorry for myself, but thats life right? You can't know the sweet without tasting the bitter :)
