My baby is crawling!! So crazy. Now I have three mobile children, YIKES!! He does the army-crawl thing, but it gets him to where he wants to go. Jimmy has been telling me for a couple of days that he could crawl but I hadn't witnessed it until today...I set him down in the hallway and then went to start the bath for the older kids...as soon as he heard the bath (his favorite thing ever) he wasted no time getting into the bathroom army style!! (Of course I HAD to stick him in there also, I couldn't let him do all that crawling for nothing). So Cute!

Random happenings at the Evan's
This is Seth's "stick collection". He is not allowed to bring it in the house, but he doesn't like to leave it outside because the kids from neighborhood will take them, SO....we have come to a compromise: He is allowed to store them in the house IF he LEAVES them there (he sneaks them into his room ALL the time).
BEST * FAMILY * NIGHT * EVER!!!!
So we had the BEST family night EVER!! Jimmy and I had a neighbor watch the kids for awhile and while they were gone we transformed our living room into RESTAURANTE EVANS! When they came home we were completely in character. I was the hostess/cook, and Jimmy was their waiter. We had made menus for them, and we had wallets full of one dollar bills for them, so they could "pay the waiter" (who then used the money to take them out for ice cream!). They had so much fun! They even started pretending right along with us. They were husband and wife that lived in Utah. Sarah stayed home with their 103 children and Seth worked at Disneyland (he commuted back and forth by jet). So much fun!

Happiness Is.....
A while back a friend tagged my blog and I was supposed to write about 20 things that make me happy....so here are my happy things :)
Happiness is......
Being a mom
Being a stay-at-home mom
Watching my children enjoy each other
Walking barefooted on cold grass
Holding my baby
When hubby hugs me for no reason
When hubby and I agree on what to watch (rare)
Cooking a new recipe that turns out wonderful
The feeling I get when my house is clean
Reading a new book to my kiddos and seeing the delight in their eyes as they learn something new
Spending time with my hubby and kids without rushing or having other things on our minds
The knowledge of knowing where I came from and where i'm going
When hubby and I feel close to each other and can talk about anything
Hearing my children laugh
Hearing hubby laugh so hard he can't stop
Living in America
Having funny, little, "had to be there" jokes with my siblings
Having enough money, a home, and enough food to eat
Growing old with someone (even if he is grumpy sometimes)
Writing
Running (For those of you who know me and are saying "seriously"?...its a new thing I just started loving ;)
The feeling of a baby growing inside my tummy
Feeling my self grow and change as I tackle another unruly habit
My daddy
Taking pictures
Ok...that is just a short list of the things I love...if you weren't mentioned don't be alarmed.....Most likely if you are reading this, I love you :)

6 Months Old :)
Luke here....my mommy is so busy always nursing me that she tends to neglect her blog. Anyway, I am now six months old. I am loving every minute of life right now. Except when mom or dad take things away from me....that just makes me mad. I am desperately trying to learn to crawl...my big sister and my dad like to put things just out of my reach. It frusterates me. My big brother on the other hand, LOVES to give me anything I want. So I tend to cry to him when I want something. He lets me taste his ring pops, his juice, popsicles, pudding, yogurt, just about anything I ask him for...(don't say anything, he does this all when mommy is not looking and I don't want her to stop all my fun). I am dad's buddy. I cry when he leaves the room. He always tells me that he has to go study..whatever that is. I like to sleep on my side...in fact, I scare mommy sometimes because I turn so far onto my side that she is afraid I will turn onto my face. But don't worry, I know what I am doing....I am a pro at sleeping. Well, I am a pro at taking naps, but I don't really like to sleep too much at night. This frustrates mommy. She likes to sleep at night. I try to tell her that I will sleep if she will just nurse me real quick when I wake up. I don't really understand what the problem is...I only want to nurse once an hour...oh, and then I like to wake up at 6 am and play with her. I think she likes this. She would probably miss playing with me if I slept in sometimes, so I never do ;)

A good book

I LOVE reading to my children.
In fact, I think it makes me happier than just about
anything.
Every night I am surrounded by my three angels as we dive into our books. They make us laugh, teach us, and just plain entertain us. BUT, the very best part of reading to them is the snuggling. Seth and Sarah each lean on a shoulder and Luke is usually on my lap. We read all kinds of books, but they usually love the funny ones the most :) I don't remember much about my mother...but I do remember her reading to me. And I remember when I turned 7 my dad read the Book of Mormon to me that whole year so that we could finish it by the time I turned 8 and was baptized. I hope my children remember reading with me.
I know I will remember snuggling with my babies.
