Dreaming......

I want a house.
REALLY bad.
I know I should just be grateful for what I have, (and I have done good for the past 8 years)....but I used to just dream of having a house and now I ache for one. Seriously, its become an obsession.
I find myself looking at homes for sale on craigslist, which is completely ridiculous because I know it is still a few (if not more) years away.
I have really always been fine with us living in apartments, it has never seemed like a burden to me. I guess maybe the fact that Jimmy and I have tripled the size of our family since we got married, or maybe because winter + four children just doesn't work in a tiny space, or maybe because I have so many hobbies I want to pursue that involve having a backyard...I don't know, but I just can't seem to get it off of my mind right now.

Its so bad that sometimes I find myself hoping Jimmy doesn't get into the Masters of Accounting program here at BYU because I just don't know if I could handle three more years of living in a tiny space (I know, I am terrible wife).

(If you knew how hard my husband was working and how bad he wants to get into this program you would place me somewhere in the horrible, no good, very bad wife category for thinking this way....)

I have since repented for thinking this way....Today I prayed like crazy that he would get into the Masters program so hopefully the prayers canceled out all my "bad wife" thoughts :-)

Ok, I'm done complaining. I am going to get off the computer and go clean our cute little "haven from the world"....
Even it is a small haven :-)

Greatest Big Brother part 2

Luke woke up sick today. He was fussy and didn't feel good.....He wanted Seth to play baseball with him, but Seth was in a rush to get out the door for school, so he told him he would play with him when he got home. All morning Luke carried around his bat but as the day progressed, he forgot all about it. I had actually forgotten too.
When Seth got in the van after school, the first thing he did was kiss the top of Lukes head and say "Are you ready for our baseball game Lukey?"

Completely melted my heart. If Luke only knew what a sweet big brother he has! Seth kept his word and after Luke's nap took him right outside for a game of baseball. Seth's friends all came around and asked (more like begged) Seth to go play with them, but he said "No way, I promised my little brother I would play baseball with him today".

LOVE my sweet firstborn!! There is a reason the Lord sent him to be the oldest!

This was right before Luke's nap, he ended up falling asleep on Seth's shoulder.

I Need A Vacation.....

This is what happens when the two yr. old hears the baby wake up before I do.....

He decides to crawl in the crib to "take care of her" for me.

As you can see, Kenna was quite happy to have a visitor!

Spies.....

My kids LOVE to play spies. OK, love is a serious understatement....its more like an addiction. Taking my children to Walmart or Target is the worst, they hide under or behind anything they can find pretending to "spy" on people. Yes, I know....my children act creepy in public ;-)

Anyhow, the other day I came across this wonderful idea on the internet. "Spy Training". You place tape or rope in a hallway and let the kids pretend it is a laser they are trying to get through without touching it. We had SO. MUCH. FUN!!! One of the best afternoons I have spent in a long time!Just pretend my full laundry basket is not in the background. As you can see, I have no trouble pretending its not there ;-)

Greatest Big Brother and A Round Head

I love these pics because I feel that they really capture the relationship between Seth and Kenna perfectly. He is so gentle and loving with her, she really does adore him. He is always begging me to hold Kenna and she doesn't complain. She loves it!

These pictures also show that my Kenna girl is finally getting a round head!! As much as I hate the helmet, it is doing it's job perfectly. Her head is finally looking a bit normal and her forehead doesn't protrude out as much. Yay!!! Hopefully she won't have to wear the helmet too much longer. Also, her skull is growing back....I can feel the bones starting to come together.
