6 Months Old :)

Luke here....my mommy is so busy always nursing me that she tends to neglect her blog. Anyway, I am now six months old. I am loving every minute of life right now. Except when mom or dad take things away from me....that just makes me mad. I am desperately trying to learn to crawl...my big sister and my dad like to put things just out of my reach. It frusterates me. My big brother on the other hand, LOVES to give me anything I want. So I tend to cry to him when I want something. He lets me taste his ring pops, his juice, popsicles, pudding, yogurt, just about anything I ask him for...(don't say anything, he does this all when mommy is not looking and I don't want her to stop all my fun). I am dad's buddy. I cry when he leaves the room. He always tells me that he has to go study..whatever that is. I like to sleep on my side...in fact, I scare mommy sometimes because I turn so far onto my side that she is afraid I will turn onto my face. But don't worry, I know what I am doing....I am a pro at sleeping. Well, I am a pro at taking naps, but I don't really like to sleep too much at night. This frustrates mommy. She likes to sleep at night. I try to tell her that I will sleep if she will just nurse me real quick when I wake up. I don't really understand what the problem is...I only want to nurse once an hour...oh, and then I like to wake up at 6 am and play with her. I think she likes this. She would probably miss playing with me if I slept in sometimes, so I never do ;)

A good book

I LOVE reading to my children.
In fact, I think it makes me happier than just about
anything.
Every night I am surrounded by my three angels as we dive into our books. They make us laugh, teach us, and just plain entertain us. BUT, the very best part of reading to them is the snuggling. Seth and Sarah each lean on a shoulder and Luke is usually on my lap. We read all kinds of books, but they usually love the funny ones the most :) I don't remember much about my mother...but I do remember her reading to me. And I remember when I turned 7 my dad read the Book of Mormon to me that whole year so that we could finish it by the time I turned 8 and was baptized. I hope my children remember reading with me.
I know I will remember snuggling with my babies.

Lukes first "big boy bath"

My three musketeers :)

I finally got Luke a seat for the bathtub...and he LOVES it! Seth and Sarah love it too. Although they get splashed the whole time he takes a bath with them :) Its ok though, they have their trusty goggles to keep the water out of their eyes ;)

Seth and Sarah LOVE wearing goggles in the bathtub!

Here he was splashing so much....he thought he was in Heaven :)

LOVE this scrumptious little guy!!!

Five years old and off to the wolves....

Five years ago I became a mother. I remember the feeling I had when I first met my little Sethy....I remember thinking that I had all I ever wanted...a child. The spirit was so strong those two days Jimmy and I spent in the hospital after having him...it was almost like the Lord wanted us to know that he had sent us one of His choicest spirits. Now my baby is starting school this year. I have tried my best to teach him the things he needed to know to make it out in the world...and this year I will begin to find out how I did. I feel like I am sending him out to the wolves. Kindergarten seems like a foreign land my little boy is going off to. I know he will be just fine (don't know about mom just yet) he is a good boy and he loves to learn. But I will sure miss my baby!!! Happy birthday to my five yr old!!

Cooking Tales

I bought the kids a few new books last week and one of the books was a mommy and me cookbook. Sarah is always helping cook and do domestic things around the house, so I thought she would enjoy having her own cookbook. It is a darling book with easy to follow recipes and bright, happy pictures throughout. I would recommend it to any mom. I love to cook, so it is so much fun to share something so special with my girlie (and my boy). We made a yummy pasta recipe.

Sarah mixing the sauce for the pasta

Seth putting in the corn.

The finished product!

Fun little cookbook!!!
